The mixing, wrapping, winding and testing of lithium-ion batteries are important production processes for lithium-ion batteries. So how is it made? Let's follow Topband battery to find out.
1. Slurry stirring is an important part of lithium-ion battery equipment. The positive electrode slurry of lithium ion battery is composed of binder, conductive agent and positive electrode material, and the negative electrode slurry is composed of binder and graphite toner; the preparation of positive and negative paste includes liquid and liquid, liquid and solid material mixing, dissolving and dispersion; the quality of slurry dispersion directly affects the quality and performance of lithium battery.
2. The coating determines the consistency and superiority of the battery and occupies a technical position in the battery manufacturing. Regardless of which type of battery is produced (eg cylindrical or square), the coating machine used in manufacturing is the same; different types of batteries require different types of winding machines.
3. In addition to lithium-ion battery winding machines, there are capacitor winding machines, fabric winding machines, etc., which can be divided into manual winding machines, semi-automatic winding machines and automatic winding machines according to the operation mode of the machine.
4. The importance of testing items has become increasingly prominent. Lithium-ion batteries are prone to burn or explode due to short circuit, overcharge, etc. In application, it will form a finished battery and protection board; in high energy density applications, lithium-ion batteries need to be combined in series and parallel to form a lithium-ion battery pack, which is managed by a battery management system (BMS). It can be seen that the production process of lithium-ion batteries is long, including more than 50 processes and more than 50 types of equipment. The entire manufacturing process can be divided into four process parts: pole piece manufacturing, battery assembly, battery activation detection, and battery packaging. Equipment related to pole piece manufacturing is called front-end equipment, equipment related to battery manufacturing is called mid-end equipment, and equipment related to battery activation detection and battery packaging is called back-end equipment. In recent years, the production of lithium-ion batteries has developed towards integration, full series and automation. Lithium battery automatic production line provides customers with standardized products. Traditional development methods have been unable to meet the rapidly changing needs of customers.
