What are the precautions for the use of lithium battery?

The working process of the lithium battery is that when the chemical reaction starts, the extra electrons inside the battery are released to discharge. The process of extra electron release is as if in the process of iron oxidation and rusting, iron reacts with oxygen, releasing electrons to oxygen to form iron oxide. Standard battery construction consists of two metals or compounds of different chemical potentials separated by a layer of porous insulator. Chemical potential is the energy stored between atoms and chemical bonds that can be transferred to moving electrons when they are free to move around in the external devices that connect them. Conductive liquids such as brine are often used to transport soluble ions, which can be transferred from the surface of one metal to the surface of another metal in solution during a reaction. We usually call such conductive liquids electrolytes. . During discharge, the metal or compound that loses electrons is called the anode, and the metal or compound that gains electrons is called the cathode. In an external circuit, electrons flow from anode to cathode, and this is the current we use to drive electrical equipment.

Precautions during the use of lithium battery:

1. It is recommended that the battery be used at a temperature of +5°C~+30°C (preferably 25°C). High temperature will shorten the life and reduce the capacity at low temperature;

2. Mixed use of batteries of different brands, different capacities, and different old and new is strictly prohibited;

3. Hydrogen will appear during battery use, so keep away from fire sources and keep ventilation to prevent explosions;

4. Please keep the environment clean, too much dust can cause the battery to short circuit;

5. After the battery is discharged, it should be recharged in time. If the battery is not fully charged, it will reduce or even damage the battery capacity. Therefore, a suitable charger must be configured;

6. The UPS with too light load (such as 1KVAUPS with 150VA load) may cause deep discharge of the battery, which should be avoided as much as possible;

7. Proper discharge is helpful for the activation of the battery. If the mains power supply is not stopped for a long time, the battery should be discharged manually, 2 to 4 times a year, and the existing load can be used to discharge, and the time is 1/4 to 1/3 of the backup time. ;8) The battery (UPS) that has been out of use for a long time should be stored after charging, and the battery should be charged and discharged once every six months. Generally, the battery should be float-charged for about 4 to 10 hours, and it should work under the battery inversion state for 2 to 3 hours. minute.
