Outdoor energy storage power sources are becoming smaller in size, but their capacity and power are increasing, providing better protection for outdoor activities. The performance indicators of power batteries mainly include energy storage density, cycle life, charging speed, resistance to high and low temperatures, and safety. Among them, energy storage density and safety are the two major requirements for outdoor energy storage power sources.



There are six commonly used energy storage power sources, namely, aluminum rich lithium battery, lithium manganate battery, lithium titanate battery, lithium iron phosphate battery, ternary lithium battery and lithium cobalate battery



Lithium manganate batteries and lithium titanate batteries were first kicked out because of their low energy storage density, while lithium cobaltate batteries suffered the same fate because of their poor safety. Only aluminum rich lithium batteries, lithium iron phosphate battery, and ternary lithium batteries entered the energy storage market. However, although aluminum rich lithium batteries have high safety factors and good parameters, their prices are high, so many companies do not use outdoor energy storage power supplies; The lithium iron phosphate battery and ternary lithium battery with good properties have become two types of cells commonly used in outdoor energy storage power supply.



There are also differences between lithium iron phosphate battery and ternary lithium battery; Next, let me give you a brief introduction to science popularization;



One is high safety, because the temperature of thermal runaway of lithium iron phosphate battery is generally above 500 degrees, while that of ternary lithium battery is below 300 degrees, compared with lithium iron phosphate battery, the risk of spontaneous combustion is lower;



Second, the cycle life is longer, because the lithium iron phosphate battery will start to decay after the number of charging and discharging cycles is more than 3500, which means that its service life can be as long as about 10 years, but the number of charging and discharging cycles of the ternary lithium battery is only 2000, which means that its service life is only 6 years. This more intuitive time length comparison will allow you to more directly feel the advantages of the lithium iron phosphate battery cell.
