(1) The battery cells can be flexibly selected and have good safety, making them less prone to ignition and explosion. The specific energy of a small capacity single cell battery can reach 140Wh/kg, and under the condition of a charging termination voltage of 4.1V, the cycle life can reach 1000 times. Compared to this, the battery pack is much different. The more batteries connected in series, the shorter the cycle life of the battery pack.



(2) Add an automatic fire extinguisher to automatically extinguish the fire upon detecting the source. The automatic fire extinguishing of the battery box can effectively detect early fires in lithium-ion batteries or supercapacitors in the energy storage device compartment and provide an alarm. At the same time, it can achieve automatic fire extinguishing and continuous suppression, and prevent the recurrence of fires in batteries and capacitors.



(3) A PUW pressure relief valve has been added to the battery pack box to prevent the accumulation of chamber pressure.



(4) The box and various modules should be made of high-temperature and flame-retardant materials. The battery box is made of high-temperature resistant materials, which emit a large amount of heat when operating inside the battery box, while preventing abnormal problems in the battery. Therefore, it is better to use high-temperature resistant and flame-retardant materials.



Recently, Tesla designed a waterproof and breathable valve (also known as a PUW pressure relief valve) on the top surface of the front of the PACK when designing the battery pack. By utilizing the volume and quantity difference between gas molecules and liquid and dust particles, gas molecules can pass through while liquid and dust cannot, achieving the goal of waterproof and breathable, and preventing water vapor from condensing inside the PACK.
