Lithium iron phosphate battery, as the name suggests, is a lithium ion battery with a positive electrode material of lithium iron phosphate and a negative electrode material of carbon. This type of battery is commonly used in the field of industrial equipment, such as: agv cars, robots, forklifts, aerial work platforms, on-site vehicles, energy storage batteries, and other fields. The battery has high energy density, fast charging speed, long life, and wide operating temperature, making it the best choice for supporting batteries in the field of industrial equipment.


During charging of a lithium iron phosphate battery, some lithium ions are released from the positive electrode and reach the negative electrode through a membrane and electrolyte; During discharge, electrons return from the negative electrode to the positive electrode, maintaining a chemical equilibrium reaction, and the battery performs charging and discharging work.


What are the characteristics of lithium iron phosphate batteries?


1: The battery operates at a wide temperature. The lithium iron phosphate battery has a particularly good high-temperature resistance, which is somewhat higher than that of a lithium ternary battery. When the temperature reaches 350-500 ℃, there will be no structural changes inside. The conventional operating temperature is between - 20 ℃ and 60 ℃, and the battery life will not be affected. The supporting equipment has a broad working environment.


"The battery has a relatively long lifespan. The number of cycles of lithium iron phosphate batteries can be as high as 2000+, and one cycle is equal to one complete charge and discharge operation. Therefore, the battery's service life can basically be maintained at 3-5 years. If the equipment's efficiency is not very frequent, the lifespan will be longer. Moreover, unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium batteries have a very weak attenuation. For example, conventional lead-acid batteries can attenuate by 50% a year.", It means that if the initial battery life of a lead-acid battery is 4 hours, it can only work for 2 hours after using it for 1 year. However, lithium batteries do not have this concern, and the attenuation of lithium batteries will not exceed 5% in a year, with no impact on the working life.
