At present, lithium iron phosphate batteries for RVs are not common in the market, and it is difficult to know which brand of battery is better. The quality of the lithium iron phosphate battery is the most important thing in the quality of the cell, and the performance level of the cell basically determines the overall performance of the lithium iron phosphate battery for the RV.


At present, there are three main types of lithium iron phosphate battery cells for RV The battery is much lighter in weight and volume than the other two, which is always better for long-distance travel. The other two batteries are similar, but when making large-capacity single batteries, the square aluminum case is superior to the cylindrical steel case, and the soft case is better.


Let's take a look at how much electricity an RV consumes in a day:


1. The power of a 21-inch TV is about 50 watts. It is expected to be used for 10 hours a day, and the cumulative power consumption is 500 watts, about 0.5 kWh!


2. The 90-liter refrigerator can be used all day, and the cumulative power consumption will not exceed 0.5 degrees. (It is generally recommended to use a stopper, so that the start-up time of the refrigerator can be controlled, and it will not exceed 0.2 degrees in a day)


3. A 100-watt notebook (usually 60 watts) is expected to be used for 5 hours a day, and the cumulative power consumption is 500 watts, about 0.5 kWh.


4. A rice cooker of about 800 watts, with a volume of 4L, is expected to be used twice a day for half an hour, and the cumulative power consumption is 400 watts, about 0.4 kWh.


5. The 900-watt electric pressure cooker is expected to be used twice a day for half an hour, with a cumulative power consumption of 450 watts, about 0.45 kWh.


6. An 800-watt electric hot water bottle with a volume of 4 liters is expected to be used 3 times a day for 5 minutes each time, with a cumulative power consumption of 200 watts, about 0.2 kWh.


7. 10-watt LED lights, calculated by the amount of 3, can be used for 5 hours a day. The cumulative power consumption is 150 watts, about 0.15 degrees.


8. The 500-watt resistance wire electric heating furnace (induction cooker is not recommended, the power and power consumption are high), it is expected to be used twice a day for 20 minutes each time, and the cumulative power consumption is 350 watts, about 0.35 degrees.


9. Calculated according to a horse's air conditioner, it is about 1000 watts for an hour, so if it is turned on for 5 hours, it will consume 5 kWh of electricity.


Of course, these are only some of the RV electrical appliances. There are many places where the RV needs electricity, so I will not list them one by one. Based on the above data, it is estimated that if the RV battery uses a traditional lead-acid battery, the weight of the battery is very large. Although the lithium iron phosphate battery using a steel shell or aluminum shell will be much lighter, there is still no soft-pack lithium iron phosphate battery. The battery is so light. Under the same demand for electricity, two or three lead-acid batteries may be prepared, while only one lithium iron phosphate battery is enough. Of course, in terms of price, the price of lithium iron phosphate batteries has better performance and quality than lead batteries. The acid battery is 2 to 3 times more expensive, but under normal use, the service life is more than twice that of the lead-acid battery.


When buying lithium iron phosphate batteries, everyone should be vigilant about whether the battery cells purchased are echelon cells. The price or quotation of such batteries is generally half or less than that of new batteries. The battery does not feel much at the beginning of use, but after a short period of use, it is more likely to have a faster capacity decay, that is, the battery usage time is shortened.
